FACILITATION AND COMMISSIONING

This level allows the student to become a facilitator of a local group of Level I students. It gives the students the opportunity to take what they have learned during Level I and/or II and train others in Christlikeness, thus spreading the vision of a transformed life and also deepening the work of God in their own hearts. Completing Level I before facilitating a Level I group is encouraged but not mandatory.

Facilitators of a Level I group must request a Confidential Pastoral Reference form from us before beginning their group. A link for the reference will be emailed upon request.

Level III also helps prepare students for future ministerial opportunities. These opportunities are first within the sphere of the graduate's local church and work in conjunction with the pastoral oversight within that church. Additional ministerial opportunities consist of churches who contact ICIT (or the student directly) in need of full or part-time ministers. The student interested in serving a local church will apply as a candidate to the requesting congregation, following and respecting the protocols of that local church. Any placement, discussion concerning salaries, ministry expectations and moving costs are independent of ICIT and are unique to each church and call. All details of the placement are worked through the graduate and church. However, ICIT will give support and advice to the student to help make his or her transition as effective as possible.

Those facilitating a Level I group will receive a Facilitator's Guide for each Level I Track, which will help them to track along the most important aspects of the teachings.

Important reminder concerning commissioning: If you are a student seeking commissioning, before applying for training, you should inform your pastor of your desires. Because ICIT works with your pastor in processing your association, it is important that, from the beginning, your local church leaders are involved with your pursuit of ministry.
